Graham M Radstone    

Philip Morris internal executive lobbyist dealing with Smoking & Health issues.

Radstone appears to have been a lawyer-executive with Phillip Morris in Europe for a period of about seven years. He was, however, in the circle of those engaged in the distortion of the science about smoking and health, and he seems to have played a minor, but significant role.


1981 March 4: Confidential document about Scandinavian legal case.

1985 Aug 1: Appears for the first time in the FTR monthly reports for July 1985
    They don't spell his name correctly. At this time he was with PM Corporate Affairs and Legal Department.

1985 Nov: Appears to be a Corporate Affairs middle manager or internal lawyer/lobbyist. Working for Philip Morris in Europe, based at FTR in Laussanne, Switzerland. He is dealing with the Gun Palm case.

1986 Nov 21:
    He is on the secondary Telex list for Smoking & Health information

1987 April 13: He is being ccd about Gulf Cooperation Council activities, and the Barclay Cigarette fiasco. Letters being sent to the Gulf were "cleared by Graham Radstone"

1987 May: Middle East PM in-house executive lobbyist
    Here Philip Morris has made some sort of breakthrough in getting access to the Gulf Cooperation Council (of Arab nations) The other major tobacco companies are willing to cooperate. David Morse (of Surrey & Morse) is being used to get some political contacts.

1988 Aug 31: This is his last reference on Philip Morris organisation guides. After this time he disappears off industry staff memos in the tobacco archives.

1999 Sep 27: A Barrister, Graham Radstone, turns up on the letterhead of Howard Kennedy Solicitors in London in a court case between the USA governement and BAT.

2006 Dec 23: there is a Google reference to a Graham M Radstone, Chairman and COO, Monsoon, Delhi. http://www.marketflash.in/post/view_article.php?id (etc.)
