Edward (Ed) Fickes    

An air-conditioning engineer and member of a couple of the ASHRAE committees which set indoor air quality standards. He contracted during this time to the Tobacco Institute, and provided them with details of all other members of the committee — their position on smoking, their professional background, qualifications, general demeanour, etc.

1992 Feb 6: An analysis of the membership of the SSPC92 committee done for the Tobacco Institute (held on file at Philip Morris) by Fickes Eng., credits Peter Billing (National Forest Products Assn.) with special status within this group as a "Member with building code experience." His association is listed as one "associated with the production of materials, HVAC equipment and systems, and IAQ measurement and control systems or devices.

1992: Ed Fickes is a non-voting member of the ASHRAE's SSPC 62 committee, and a member of the Health & Comfort subcommittee
